Was just curious if anyone else has followed his diet/workout regimen. I'm not following his workout plan, just the diet part. Workout wise I've been changing between a variety of routines at 2 to 3 week intervals per routine - some EDT, RKC stuff, right now a PTP style routine & some HOC.
The book is pretty interesting. He follows a 'near vegetarian' diet and consumes a substantial amount of grain products, with what I assume is adequate protein intake. He doesn't say anything in the book about the common 1g protein per pound of bodyweigt rule, but I haven't checked his website. I've been trying to adjust to the eating style.
Calorie intake has been a little higher than what I was doing before. Interested in anyone else's experiences. Hello, I have been working as a Bicycle Messanger ove the past 2-3 months and have been riding 50-80 miles a day.then training with KBs or for climbing 2-3 days per week. Since those changes have been following Clarence Bass style Diet and have felt really good. Lots sprouted organic grains, quinoa, brown rice, oats, spelt, veggies (sweet potatos, squash, greens).a little jucie, fruit, legumes, nut butter (PB and almond), soymilk.then salmon or beef 2-3 dinners per week.
Never felt better. I was near paleo 6-9months ago and feel much metter digestively and energetically without the high protien intake. I think it is a great way to eat.I have lots of energy and very little body fat.
LBM has also increased since upping my caloric intake with high quality carbohydrates. I weigh in around 135-140.
Total caloric intake for me is around 3000-4200 per day including 1-2 rest days per week. Sounds like your diet is pretty varied. I've been following his diet as much as possible, but I don't adhere to it as strictly as you do.
I was curious as to where I could get more info on his eating style. Lean for life gives 4 meal plans as I recall, consisting pretty much of grain cereals & bread, low fat milk & yogurt, nut butter, fruit, veggies and a small amount of meat. I could follow it more strictly, but kind of difficult since my wife doesn't want to eat the same way. So my evening meal is sometimes a little different, but not alot. Looks like your calorie level is pretty high for your body weight, but I guess you need it with all of that bike riding plus the KBs. Glad it's working out for you. I don't know as if I feel better than before, but I'm happier in that I'm eating more grain & breads, which I enjoy.
Getsmile V1 9010 Key Dvt Medication. Do you know if he gives any more info as far as his meals in any of his other books or on his website? Thanks for the input. I do mostly low carb a la Ellis style but once in a while I mix it up and add more carbs because I do like grains once in a while. But never got lean on Clarence Bass's diet. Ellis works better for me.
