Quicken Qdf File Corrupted This Program

I can open Quicken with other, smaller files. But when I call up the 20 MG file, the screen just freezes (no information displayed except file title on top) and I have to go to Task Manager to close out Quicken.
While in another working.QDF I went to Validate and Repair to call up and check out what was corrupted in the 20 MG file and the answer was nothing. Everything was clean.
I purchased 2017 to see if that could open it and it did not. I've been in touch with both Quicken help and a paid geek. Quicken was fine; Windows 10 was fine. It's the 20 MG file.The 20 MG file seems to be like a transparent coconut. Everything inside seems fine, but I can't crack the shell open.
It was created in ~2000 and was 6 capitalized letters, in a QUICKENW folder directly under C. It worked for years (never purged old data.) with a new Quicken product bought every about three (3) years, i.e., 2000, 2003, 2006, etc. This past April I loaded 2016. Everything was fine until about early this month (November). And then freeze up.
Last week the Quicken help desk (nice person) had me rename the data file, cleaned up/out the 2016 program, downloaded a fresh copy and use that Mondo (?) patch. Coconut shell wouldn't open. I got the idea that if I loaded 2017, that might do it, but it didn't. I could understand if the file were corrupted, but Validate says it's fine.
