Quicken 2010 User Guide
I have a similar problem. I have this one security that I have purchased and sold over the years. I currently have 5 lots of this security in my portfolio. The cost basis of each lot is stated correctly in Quicken 2011, but the total cost basis of all 5 lots shows a negative number.
Why doesn't Quicken just add up the 5 lots to arrive at total cost. When I first went to quicken, I input each individual transaction so that my various numbers would be accurate. The pre-Quicken numbers had to be input as 'shares added' as I didn't want to create a cash balance somewhere. None of these transactions show up as a 'Shrsin' transaction. Any ideas on how to fix this?
